CBSE Class 9 Maths Linear Equations in Two Variables
Formation of Linear Equations
All linear equations of one variable can be converted into linear equations in two variables.
The unknowns in the linear equation can be represented by any letter but the convention is to use x and y as variables.
Solutions to Linear Equations
All linear equations in two variables have infinitely many solutions.
Every solution of a linear equation in two variables can be written in the form of an ordered pair (x, y)
If (p,r) is a solution of the linear equation ax + by + c = 0, then (r,p) may or may not be the solution of the linear equation.
