Total persons = 9
Committee of 3 members can be formed in C presuperscript 9 subscript 3 ways.
2) 1 engineer can be selected in C presuperscript 4 subscript 1 ways.
2 economist can be selected in C presuperscript 3 subscript 2 ways.
Therefore, probability that exactly 1 engineer and 2 economist can be selected 
equals fraction numerator C presuperscript 4 subscript 1 cross times C presuperscript 3 subscript 2 over denominator C presuperscript 9 subscript 3 end fraction equals 1 over 7
